Join our team as an Industrial Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our production line. Our company prides itself on its commitment to quality and safety, and we are looking for a dedicated professional who can help us uphold these standards. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing a variety of equipment and systems, working closely with team members and management to meet production requirements.
$25 - $32/hr based on experience, attitude, and proven reliability
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting and inspection of building equipment using testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Remove, repair, and/or replace components and parts on various systems, including engine, hydraulic, brake, air, fuel, transmission/powertrain, and electrical systems.
- Work with team members and management staff in a professional manner to maintain workflow and meet production requirements.
- Read and interpret parts books, service manuals, and electrical/hydraulic system schematics.
- Follow all Contamination Control guidelines.
- Operate industrial equipment and machinery to ensure proper operation following service and/or repair.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of diesel mechanics and hydraulics systems.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to safely perform work, including crane and rigging procedures.
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate effective use of available resources.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of tools and equipment.
- Professional verbal and written communications skills, including reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Basic math computation skill and basic computer skill.
- Experience performing maintenance and repair on a wide variety of production line equipment, power systems, and heavy industrial/diesel engines and hydraulic systems preferred.
- Experience with overhead crane maintenance and repair preferred.
- Experience with single and 3 phase electrical wiring preferred.
Working Environment/Physical Activities
- Outdoor and indoor environments, moderate to loud noise levels.
- Standing for long periods on concrete or other hard surfaces; walking over rough and uneven terrain.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and climbing.
- Frequent use of ladders and steps for accessing equipment.
- Frequent lifting up to 50lbs with or without assistance.
- Frequent use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, manipulating tools/objects, and writing/typing.
- Some exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to substances, including/not limited to: industrial chemicals, hydraulic fluid, grease, oil, and dirt.
