Maintenance Technician

Full Time Technical Tampa, FL, US

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full time skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support facility and equipment operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving facility systems and production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
  • Support fabrication, modifications, and adjustments to production lines based on operational needs.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and parts inventory documentation.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow OSHA, GMP, and company safety procedures during all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Identify potential equipment or facility hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Operational Support:

  • Collaborate with production and facility management teams to prioritize maintenance activities.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and production support needs.
  • Travel occasionally between local facilities to assist with projects and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience as a maintenance technician or related role preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with fabrication and production line modifications preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Preferred English/spanish speaking bilingual.
  • Must be able to read English
  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment with exposure to machinery and maintenance tools.
  • Must be able to work in dusty environment with powders
  • Frequent standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and physical activity.
  • May require flexible scheduling, weekends, or on-call support.
  • PPE required while working on the production floor.
