Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a packaging solutions manufacturer in Sturgis, MI to hire Maintenance Technicians for 1st and 2nd shifts. The role includes hands-on electrical/mechanical maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and adherence to safety standards on production equipment.

Salary ranges from $64,480 to $68,640 per year, with a 2nd shift differential of $1.25/hour and hours 7 AM to 3 PM. High School education required; direct hire with Randstad.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic mechanical fundamentals.
• Ability to read instructions and blueprints.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Installing and repairing electrical devices within the plant.
• Performing breakdown, preventive, and predictive maintenance on all production equipment.
• Completing parts requisitions, work orders, and time sheets in the system.
• Working independently and on teams.
• Demonstrating safe work practices.
• Using PLCs for routine troubleshooting.
• Reading and following mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Adhering to preventive/predictive maintenance schedules.

Job description

Randstad is currently working with a manufacturing company that produces packaging solutions for their customers. Our client produces folding cartons, paperboard boxes, and cups using recycled or renewable paper. They work with big brands in food, drinks, and household goods to replace plastic with recyclable paper options. They are hiring Maintenance Technicians at their facitliy in Sturgis, MI. 1st and 2nd shift positions are currently available. 2nd shift offers a shift differential of $1.25/HR. This is a Direct Hire position with our client.

Salary: $64,480 - $68,640 per year

Shift: First

Work hours: 7 AM - 3 PM

Education: High School

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience in an Industrial or Manufacturing Environment.
• Working knowledge of basic mechanical fundamentals.
• Performing tasks per instructions.
• Working well without supervision when needed.
• Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
• Experience performing troublshooting, preventative maintenance and repair to mechanical, pnematic, hydraulic and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities
