Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep production lines running by installing, troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic machinery. The role covers a wide range of hands-on tasks from precision electronics to heavy equipment rigging in a dynamic industrial setting.

Responsive team member with a High School education, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with a variety of tools is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical and electronic maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot, repair and adjust a range of equipment.
• Experience with precision tuning and heavy equipment handling is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic equipment such as motors, drives, PLCs and circuit boards.
• Machining & Fabrication: Set up and operate metalworking equipment to fabricate/modify custom components.
• Electrical & Systems Wiring: Install conduit, run power wiring and connect electrical supplies to machines and controls.
• Rigging & Heavy Material Handling: Move and position heavy machinery using lifting tools and ensure safe transport.
• Operations & Admin: Complete startup procedures, test systems and track work orders.

In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility, keeping our production lines running smoothly by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery. salary: $62,400 - $74,880 per year

shift: Third

work hours: 7 PM - 7 AM

education: High School

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair faulty mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment, including motors, drives, PLCs, transformers, and circuit boards. Dismantle, clean, lubricate, and adjust parts as required.
• Machining & Fabrication: Set up and operate metalworking equipment (lathes, drill presses, grinders, band saws, welders) to fabricate and modify custom components.
• Electrical & Systems Wiring: Install conduit, run power wiring, and connect electrical supplies to new and existing machines, conveyors, and automated controls.
• Rigging & Heavy Material Handling: Move and position heavy machinery using forklifts, pry bars, and chain falls. Transport parts, tools, and equipment safely.
• Operations & Admin: Complete plant startup procedures, test repaired systems, and utilize computers to track work orders and maintenance status.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with hand tools ranging from precision instruments to heavy‑duty pipe wrenches.
• Physical capability to lift, push, pull, and carry tools/equipment continuously.
• Strict adherence to safety protocols and mandatory PPE (safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, ear protection, cut/heat‑resistant sleeves and gloves).

Essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 12 hours at one time
• working up to 12 hrs of overtime per week

• Mechanical Maintenance (4 years of experience is preferred)
