Job summary

Qualifications

Lone Star Bakery, Inc. is looking for Maintenance Technicians to perform routine checks and preventative maintenance, diagnose and assist in troubleshooting robotic systems, processing equipment, conveyor systems, bakery ovens, and packaging equipment.

First, second, & third shifts available

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits at all times and promptly report unsafe conditions.
• Consistently comply with the processes, policies, and procedures of Lone Star Bakery, Inc.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
• Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine checks on processing equipment, conveyor systems, bakery ovens, and packaging equipment under the guidance of senor staff.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure Perform routine checks and preventative maintenance, diagnose and assist in troubleshooting
  robotic systems, processing equipment, conveyor systems, bakery ovens, and packaging equipment. that production equipment continuously runs safely, efficiently, and as intended by original equipment manufacturers.
• Diagnose malfunctions in automated systems, including conveyors, motors, variable frequency drives (VFD's) and basic controls systems inputs/outputs.
• Troubleshoot, modify and program robotic systems and variable frequency drives (VFD's) using HMI's, pendants and other interfaces.
• Use of multimeter and other predictive tools to catch potential failures before they occur.
• Rebuild or replace worn pumps, gearboxes, valves, cylinders, and electrical sensors.
• Ability to mentor and train new Team Members in mechanics, fluid power, AC/DC Electrical and controls systems.
• Assist Supervisor and Lead in root cause analysis activities.
• Assist in set-up and tear down of equipment.
• Use of HxGN EAM CMMS for work orders, PM, and parts location, usage and ordering.
• Notify Supervisor or Lead of any production issues or equipment malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements, Education, & Certifications

• 2-5 years' experience in industrial maintenance or automation preferred.
• Ability to work at a steady and continuous pace to keep up with manufacturing production.
• Ability to accurately complete required Company documentation using Redzone.
• Ability to safely lift and/or move to 50 pounds independently using safe lifting procedures and heavier loads using team lifts.
• Complete understanding of how tools, mechanical assemblies, and simple electrical or pneumatic systems work.
• Comply with the following Safety Programs and/or processes:

  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read basic electrical wiring diagrams, and schematics as well as mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic flow charts and diagrams.
• Ability to be certified in Forklift, Pallet Jack and Scissor Lift operation

Environmental Conditions

Work is performed in a commercial food manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to:

• Hot and cold temperature variations.
• Wet, slippery, or uneven walking surfaces.
• Moderate to high noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
• Moving mechanical parts and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Industrial ovens, conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and other production machinery.
• Flour dust, food ingredients, and other airborne particulates typical of a bakery environment. Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents used in food production.
• Forklift and pedestrian traffic in production and warehouse areas.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, hair restraints, safety glasses, gloves, and slip-resistant footwear, as required.
