Description

Employment Status: Part-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday 8am - 1pm, flexible hours based on church needs

Reports to: Pastor

Summary: As the Maintenance Technician for St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, you’ll provide general maintenance and repairs for all parish buildings and property, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to procedures.

Position Responsibilities:

• Inspect buildings and structures for malfunctions and repairs needed.
• Perform maintenance in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and other areas.
• Complete work orders and respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Use various tools including hand, power, electrical, and testing devices.
• Maintain security, including locking/unlocking, alarm activation, and responding to alarms.
• Coordinate with staff for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Set up and break down meeting rooms as per work orders.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools, and order as needed.
• Keep records of maintenance, inspections, and safety guidelines.
• Ensure ADA equipment and fire/security alarms are operational and up to code.
• Assist with contractor work and follow safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and perform equipment checks.
• Transport furniture and equipment as required.
• Perform special projects and janitorial duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience

• Good communication and critical thinking skills

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, and perform various physical tasks as detailed in the original description.
