National Beef in St. Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the night shift on-site. The role focuses on keeping mechanical equipment, facilities, and machines running, with a 3-Day work week structure and rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail.
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines.
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts.
• Performing preventative maintenance.
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts.
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems.
• Creating daily activity reports.
• Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our schedules rotate every four weeks between the following:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - full shift; Thursday - half shift

Friday, Saturday, Sunday - full shift; Thursday - half shift

Responsibilities

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualified candidates for the Maintenance Technician Position should possess the following:

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• Electrical
• Industrial Maintenance Experience
• General knowledge of tannery layout

Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
