Job summary

National Beef Packing Company LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to support on-site operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems, plus equipment installation and documentation of work performed.

The role emphasizes safety, punctuality, and collaboration across departments. Overtime is available; company benefits and weekly payroll support a stable on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess basic mechanical skills and be able to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to use common hand tools and read simple schematics.
• Willingness to work overtime and be punctual for shifts.
• Experience with electrical controls in industrial settings is a plus.
• Industrial refrigeration experience is preferred.
• Allen Bradley PLC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and building systems.
• Rebuild, repair, and/or replace equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance including lubrication and inspections.
• Assist with installation of equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot/repair/replace industrial electrical equipment such as motors, drives, and controls.
• Log work activities for equipment history, parts management and reporting.
• Collaborate with management and other departments on maintenance issues.
• Other duties as assigned

Job description

Maintenance Technician for 2nd Shift responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Troubleshoot and repair of mechanical equipment and building systems

This is a safety sensitive position. This position is on-site.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the maintenance technician position should possess the following

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic power transmission equipment
• Ability to use common hand tools
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Industrial Electrical controls experience
• Electrical experience in 480V and motor controls
• Industrial Maintenance Experience
• Refrigeration Experience
• Allen Bradley PLC experience a plus
