Job summary

National Beef is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Dodge City, KS facility. You will maintain and repair mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines, and perform preventative maintenance to support safe and efficient operations on the production floor.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, tool-use, and the ability to read and follow instructions. This is an on-site, safety-sensitive position with competitive wages starting at $23.65 per hour, plus health benefits, paid vacation

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled
• Ability to read, write and speak English preferred
• Strong work ethic and eye for detail
• Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check

Responsibilities

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines
• Rebuilding, repairing, and/or replacing equipment/machinery/parts
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Installing equipment/machinery/parts
• Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment and systems
• Creating daily activity reports
• Collaboration with management and other departments regarding maintenance issues throughout the facility
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

Maintenance Technician position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Fixing and maintaining mechanical equipment, buildings, and machines

This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.
