Job summary

LR Management is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician in Michigan to support our property teams. You will perform general maintenance, respond to resident requests, and help keep apartments and common areas in top condition.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Weekend availability and on-call readiness are required to meet resident needs and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call availability.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repair and improve vacant and occupied apartments.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Handle carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conduct move in/move out inspections.
• Maintain inventory levels for parts and tools.
• Keep the service shop clean and organized.
• Assist in maintaining indoor common areas.
• Maintain grounds and building exteriors, including snow removal and trash pickup.
• Adhere to fair housing policies.

The successful candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude along with being self-motivated and self-directed.

Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with our residents as they carry out general repairs and preventative maintenance which includes HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in

• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
