Job summary

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Portland Jantzen Beach in Portland, OR is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technician to help keep guest rooms, public areas, and equipment safe and well‑functioning. This role emphasizes proactive upkeep and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, keeping maintenance records, and coordinating with hotel departments to uphold IHG brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel or building maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Flexible availability based on hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC/PTAC, and mechanical systems.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain the swimming pool, fitness center, and hotel equipment.
• Keep hotel grounds, parking areas, entrances, and exterior spaces clean and well-maintained.
• Identify and promptly address maintenance concerns and safety hazards.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain organized storage areas and adequate maintenance supplies.
• Work collaboratively with hotel departments to ensure IHG brand standards are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
