Job summary

Port Arthur, TX-based Linde plc is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to plan and perform installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, and heat exchangers. You will also support water treatment systems and various process equipment, with a focus on preventive maintenance and root-cause analysis.

• Minimum of five years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Proficient in precision measurement, equipment alignment, and vibration analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and related process equipment.
• Assist with turnaround planning, cost estimation, and resolution of recurring mechanical equipment issues.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and support root cause analysis of major equipment failures.
• Maintain maintenance records in EAM/CMMS and support related programs; work independently with on-call and elevation as needed.

What you will enjoy doing*

• You will plan and perform equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and cooling towers
• Further, support and maintain water treatment systems, gas-fired vaporizers, H2 generators, piping systems, and related process equipment
• Assist with turnaround planning, cost estimation, and resolution of recurring mechanical equipment issues
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and support root cause analysis of major equipment failures
• Also, maintain maintenance records in EAM and support the Oil & Vibrations Predictive Program
• Work independently, make technical decisions, elevate concerns as needed, and perform office and field work, including off-hours support and access to elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man-lifts, and crane baskets

What makes you great

• You will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience maintaining mechanical and rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
• Demonstrate proven experience installing, troubleshooting, inspecting, and repairing compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers, with knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance
• Moreover, you will be proficient in precision measurement, equipment alignment, vibration analysis, dynamic balancing, and EAM/CMMS systems
• You are expected to apply knowledge of regulatory requirements, industrial standards, and codes; machinist or millwright apprenticeship completion is preferred
• Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork, independent decision-making, and computer skills
• Meet physical requirements, including confined space entry, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights, while supporting extended hours, weekends, holidays, and call-in coverage as needed
