Job Summary

Under the direction of the Service Director and Real Estate Manager, the Service Technician I is responsible for performing general maintenance, grounds, and housekeeping services to ensure excellent curb appeal and quality of apartment homes, as well as responding to customer service requests.

Maintenance Services:

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and janitorial services as assigned.
• Assist with maintenance of storage area and materials.
• Refurbish and renovate apartments per company standards.
• Walk the property daily to ensure curb appeal and apartment quality.
• Notify the Business Manager of safety concerns and participate in safety meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of property-specific issues such as asbestos.
• Assist in snow removal as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed.

Customer Service:

• Complete all service requests according to company standards.
• Be available for weekend work, on-call duties, and after-hours emergency requests, 24/7 as scheduled.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC Type I & II certification preferred, obtainable within 180 days of hire.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• At least 1 year of maintenance experience.
• Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to walk grounds and apartments, ascend stairs, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform physical activities like bending, kneeling, and pushing.
• Sufficient knowledge to thoroughly complete maintenance assessments up to the standards of a Service Technician I.
