Maintenance Technician II, Letsche School Apartments - Pittsburgh, PA

Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Technician II performs various skilled maintenance functions including minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, painting, and heating/air issues.

Essential Functions of the Position:

(Note: Not all duties listed are required for every position, and additional duties may be assigned.)

  1. Performs clean out and demo work for apartment turnovers to ensure make-ready status.
  2. Performs carpentry duties such as drywall repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, window/glass repair, door/lock repair, and ceramic tile repair.
  3. Performs drywall patching, painting, and cleaning of common areas.
  4. Monitors inventory, picks up and delivers supplies using company or personal vehicle.
  5. Removes snow from the property as needed.
  6. Maintains grounds by mowing, pruning, and removing weeds and debris.
  7. Performs preventive maintenance duties.
  8. Assists in maintaining equipment and ensuring safety standards.
  9. Provides emergency on-call maintenance support after hours.
  10. Assists at other properties in the region as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, and carpentry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAMT certification
  • Completion of Greenlight Maintenance Learning Plan

Skills and Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Proficiency in at least 2 trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)
  • Technical skills with cell phones and tablets
  • Availability for on-call emergencies
  • Basic English communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Residence within 30 minutes of the property unless approved
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work overhead, stand/walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks like shoveling snow.

Additional Information:

Sign-On Bonus: $500 payable with first paycheck, and $500 after 90 days of employment.
