Job summary

Position Summary

A maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep of building, grounds, and equipment. They assist with routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting under the supervision of senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems.
• Perform preventive and urgent maintenance of production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
