The Diocese of St. Augustine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the excellent condition of the Parish Campus at St. Catherine of Siena in Orange Park, FL. This part-time position encompasses maintenance tasks that include inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in maintenance, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.

Our ideal candidate will have in‑depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, electric, hydraulic systems, and basic tools and appliances, as well as outstanding problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills. Someone who will preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our Parish Campus. This role will involve conducting quality assessments, repairing when necessary or scheduling repairs, maintaining inventory, and developing preventative maintenance procedures.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of leadership, vendors, employees, and the general public. Must have average computer skills, including aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
