St. Thérèse Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to serve our parish and school community.

The role focuses on the effective, efficient and safe maintenance, renovation and upkeep of parish and school buildings and grounds. The position requires 5+ years of maintenance experience across multiple systems, the ability to lift over 50 pounds, and the capacity to manage projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with multiple mechanical systems (new and old).
• Able to lift 50+ pounds.
• Practicing Catholic is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and grounds.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, safety, and energy audits.
• Oversee part-time staff and external contractors.
• Perform maintenance including painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and snow removal.

St. Thérèse Catholic Church is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to serve our parish and school community. This position is responsible for the effective, efficient and safe maintenance, renovation and upkeep of parish and/or school buildings and grounds.

Essential Duties

• Maintain mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and grounds.


• Conduct preventative maintenance, safety, and energy conservation audits.


• Oversee part time maintenance and seasonal grounds employees and outside contractors.


• Perform preventative maintenance, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and snow removal.


• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Problem-solve and develop solutions.


• Build collaborative relationships with employees and outside contractors.


• Demonstrate efficient and effective organizational skills.


• Work independently with confidence, and minimal managerial oversight.


• Manage projects on time and within budget parameters.


• Understand and read technical information.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferable with exposure to new and old technology and multiple systems.


• Strong understanding of general maintenance practices.


• Able to walk/stand throughout the day, lift over 50 pounds.


• Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
