Job summary

Banyan Treatment Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Gilman, IL site. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm and focuses on the upkeep of the facility to ensure a safe, functional environment for patients and staff.

The role offers hands-on experience across trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and renovations, with opportunities to contribute to a nationally recognized addiction and mental health care organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintenance experience in residential, hospital, or medical settings preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be 21+ years old (insurance requirement).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, remodeling, renovations, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with building, safety, and health codes.
• Install and maintain appliances, furniture, and fixtures.
• Report and document maintenance issues.
• Monitor and respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and integrity of the entire facility.
