Job summary

Quality Staffing Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform minor and routine maintenance and repairs in residential settings, with knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair.

The role requires commuting between Denton and St. Michaels, Maryland on alternating days, participates in an on-call rotation, and involves ensuring safety compliance and timely service to residents.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of general maintenance repairs, light carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, and heating/AC repair.
• Ability to flex work schedule to accommodate after hour and weekend emergencies.
• Safety conscious, dependable, and ability to work well under deadlines.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between locations on alternating days and able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and troubleshoot routine and minor maintenance repairs in a timely manner, ensure resident service requests are addressed, and accurately record work completed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service and follow up with residents regarding completed repairs.
• Coordinate and schedule inspections, testing, and servicing of building systems and safety equipment including fire alarm systems, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, etc.
• Purchase appropriate parts and materials while keeping inventory records accurate and current.
• Respond to urgent maintenance issues outside of normal business hours in accordance with on-call procedures and company guidelines.
• Perform all work in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and health codes.
• Solicit bids and negotiate pricing with vendors and contractors when appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned by the Site Manager, Maintenance Director, or Regional Manager.

As the Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing minor and routine maintenance and repairs in a residential setting and have knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair. This position requires commuting between the Denton & St. Michaels locations on alternating days of the week, on an on-call rotation.

Salary

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 24 hour on-call rotation
