Maintenance Technician

Northborough packaging company looking for individuals to join their maintenance team on second and third shifts. Successful candidates must exhibit safe working habits, strong organizational skills, and the ability to problem-solve. Daily responsibilities will include responding to service calls, performing PM tasks, filling out paperwork, and working within the team to accomplish projects. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, and fabrication is desired. Experience in a production and/or manufacturing environment is also a plus.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of established preventive maintenance systems and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Basic understanding of the principles of belts, belt drives, chain drives, gearboxes, conveyors, and hydraulic systems as they pertain to packaging.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Excellent knowledge of packaging, processing, and industrial plant equipment.
• Ability to test and troubleshoot electrical, packaging, and process equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, servo drives, controls integration, networks, and various controls software platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Safe use of tools and knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to work on other shifts and work overtime as assigned.
