Job summary

JVM Realty Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our communities safe, clean, and welcoming. You will perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs and handle make-readies within 5–8 days, while addressing resident requests within 48 hours.

You’ll also maintain pool conditions, assist with safety training, and manage on-site shop organization. This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2+ years in property maintenance, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2+ years of property management maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Ability to read and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Walk the community regularly, spot issues early and fix them quickly.
• Repair and maintain lighting, breakers, windows, doors, appliances, plumbing, drywall, paint, flooring.
• Inspect and replace A/C filters and water heaters.
• Complete apartment make-readies within 5–8 business days, including move-in/move-out inspections.
• Respond to resident service requests within 48 hours.
• Follow the JVM 8-point preventative maintenance checklist on each inspection.
• Maintain pool conditions and test chemical levels.
• Know all utility, apartment, and fixture shut-offs and sewer cleanouts.
• Perform trash-outs of vacated units and keep the shop organized and secure.
• Attend required training and report unsafe conditions.
