Job summary

JVM Realty Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance activities, coach a team, and uphold high safety and quality standards across our properties in Illinois. You will manage turns, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs while collaborating with the Property Manager to protect and grow property value.

Come build something with us.The Role:As Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee every aspect of property maintenance while coaching a team to deliver the kind of service residents notice and remember. You'll set the standard for quality, keep the property safe and sharp, and partner with the Property Manager to protect and grow the value of the community.What you'll do:Lead the team — supervise and train maintenance staff, delegate work orders, and hold the line on quality standardsTurn homes around — perform and oversee apartment turns, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairsSolve problems hands-on — troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issuesKeep operations running smoothly — monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationshipsChampion safety and compliance — ensure adherence to safety requirements, OSHA standards, and Fair Housing guidelinesBe there when it counts — participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergenciesPlan for the long term — partner with the Property Manager on budgets, capital projects, and long-term planningDriving Requirements:Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance required for traveling the community to complete inspections, repairs, and vendor pickups, when approved by your supervisor (approximately 10% of the time).Physical Requirements:With or without reasonable accommodation, must be able to:Perform outdoor work in all weather conditions (~25% of the time)Lift up to 50 lbs (~10% of the time)Climb stairs (~10% of the time)Walk community grounds (~15% of the time)Climb a ladder (~5% of the time)Perform snow removal, including shoveling and snow-blowing walkways and stairsCompensation:The pay range for this position is $27-30/hr. JVM Management, Inc. determines individual pay within this range based on factors including qualifications, experience, scope of responsibilities, and internal equity.This pay range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
