Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair malfunctioning machinery, install new equipment, and implement a preventive maintenance program across assigned machinery under supervisor direction. The role operates on A-B shifts, with weekends on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities include housekeeping, equipment rearrangement, emergency on-call repairs, and maintaining maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of PVC plumbing or mechanical repair experience.
• Electrical panelboard and motor controls experience.
• Positive displacement pump repair experience.

• Follow good housekeeping practices; keep area neat and clean and tidy after each job.
• Install new equipment or rearrange existing equipment.
• Be available on call for emergency repairs to keep the plant running smoothly.
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventive maintenance on plant and road equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, install new equipment and systems, and perform a preventive maintenance program on all assigned machinery as directed by the supervisor. A-B shifts, working on the weekends every other month.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping the maintenance and tool storage area neat and clean, as well as timely cleanup of work area after each job is completed
• Install new equipment or rearrange existing equipment
• Be available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep the plant in good running order
• Maintain preventative maintenance records and perform preventative maintenance on plant and road equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Required

• High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training
• Electrical panelboard experience
• Motor Controls experience
• Positive displacement pump repair experience

Preferred

• Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired
• Electrical Certification
• At least 1 year of electrical installation, repair, and maintenance work experience, including electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and maintenance experience

Working Conditions

• Travel for field repair and installation if needed
• Will perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
• Will work in a range of environments including but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities

Compensation

The hourly rate of $26.00-$30.00 is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles.
