Job summary

Excel Care Newark is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to keep our rehabilitation and healing facility safe, clean, and well functioning for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, respond to work orders, help with room setups, and support seasonal tasks while following safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Maintenance/skilled trade experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building systems and tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness.
• Reliable team player with good communication skills.
• Flexible availability (weekends/on-call as needed).
• Healthcare or long-term care experience a plus.
