Job summary

Markley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a full-time daytime shift (8am-4pm). You will perform general maintenance across painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and related facility systems to keep the building safe and comfortable for residents and staff.

This role requires at least three years of maintenance experience and basic computer skills to document work orders and coordinate with teams.

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience required.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend system longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems, equipment, and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Utilize basic computer systems to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and communicate updates.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures, facility policies, and regulatory standards.

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience required, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of building equipment, building systems, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
