Job summary

7Seventy is seeking a maintenance technician to keep school buildings and campus facilities safe, functional, and well maintained. You will complete repairs, support campus events, assist with safety procedures, and help maintain a clean environment for students, staff, and visitors. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hour. Requirements: high school diploma, 3+ years in general maintenance or building trades, valid driver’s license, CMMS experience, and ability to pass

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in general maintenance or building trades such as carpentry or plumbing.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or with a team.
• Good communication, flexibility, and time management skills.
• Experience with CMMS software.
• Ability to provide a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain school buildings and facilities.
• Perform general maintenance work involving carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, appliance repair, and electrical wiring.
• Complete event set-ups and tear-downs for scheduled campus activities.
• Operate and maintain tools used for building and facility repairs.
• Perform on-call duties as assigned.
• Remove snow using shovels, blowers, and plows when needed.
• Provide logistical support for campus activities and help maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Assist with fire drills, lockdowns, and other safety exercises.
• Help manage traffic flow and parking on campus.
• Complete other assigned duties as needed.

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from ladders and perform bending, reaching, crawling, stooping, kneeling, turning, climbing, and balancing.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk long distances across campus.
• Ability to work in and around dust, fumes, and odors.
