• Assist with day-to-day operations for the building including custodians, maintenance tech, and engineer staff on assigned roles and tasks.
• Assist to supervise 41 Broad cleaning companies to cover daily cleaning across classrooms, gyms, hallways, offices, pool, and cafeteria.
• Assist facility re-organization of classrooms, offices, gym, kitchen, and apartments for all Léman locations.
• Assist maintaining an organized key system for 41 Broad.
• Assist in the repair and/or installation of items such as windows, roofs, structures, floors, rails, lighting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and metal fabrication.
• Assist other grounds and maintenance personnel to support their work activities.
• Assist with daily inspections and general maintenance for pools, including troubleshooting, chemical balance, pumps, and repairs.
• Perform event setups, breakdowns, and cleanup.
• Perform painting tasks as directed to maintain attractive facilities.
• Clean and repair gutters, drains, and scuppers for proper operation and drainage.
• Install system component parts and equipment to maintain safe, comfortable facilities.
• Maintain tools and equipment to ensure availability in safe operating condition.
• Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and availability.
• Respond to emergency situations to resolve safety concerns.
• Perform grounds-related functions to preserve a healthy, attractive, and safe campus.

Main Purpose Of The Role

This position will assists in the repair and/or installation of various items, systems and/or components as may be required (e.g. broken windows, roofs, building structures, floors, hand rails, stairs, lighting systems, HVAC units, electrical units/service (120/240/480 10 and 30), plumbing/sewer systems, metal fabrication, electrical ballast, electrical switches replacement etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist to supervise 41 Broad cleaning companies to make sure full scope of their responsibility is covered every day in regards classroom, classroom furniture, gyms, hallways, office, pool, cafeteria areas are properly clean.

• Assists in the repair and/or installation of various items, systems and/or components as may be required (e.g. broken windows, roofs, building structures, floors, hand rails, stairs, lighting systems, HVAC units, electrical units/service (120/240/480 10 and 30), plumbing/sewer systems, metal fabrication, electrical ballast, electrical switches replacement etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that items are available and in safe working condition.
• Assists other grounds and maintenance personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
• Assist with daily inspections and general maintenance for our pools including troubleshooting; chemical balance/calibration, pumps upkeep and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform event setups-breakdowns & clean up
• Perform painting tasks as directed for the purpose of maintaining attractive facilities and minimizing damage.
• Cleans and performs minor repairs of gutters, drains and scuppers for the purpose of ensuring proper operation and adequate drainage.
• Installs system component parts, classroom and office equipment and facility components as may be required for the purpose of maintaining facilities in a safe, comfortable and operating condition.
• Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
• Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
• Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Performs grounds related functions as may be required for the purpose of preserving grounds in a healthy, attractive and safe condition
