Job summary

ACS Group is seeking a maintenance technician to perform mechanical and electrical upkeep across facilities in New Berlin, WI and Wabash, IN. The role involves responding to safety-related maintenance questions, participating on the safety committee, and supporting hazard communication and disposal programs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of electrician-related experience, the ability to read blueprints, and hands-on mechanical/electrical skills within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of experience with electrician duties.
• Mechanical and electrical experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and Electrical upkeep of the facility
• Respond and fix safety related maintenance questions
• Involved with Hazard Communication Program and Hazard Materials disposal
• Participate on the safety committee
• On call to respond to building emergencies
• Research and order parts
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HVAC and plumbing issues
• Write preventative maintenance programs for machines
• Other duties as assigned

ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Cumberland, Wabash and Carver.Manufacturing facilities are located in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located Suzhou,China to handle the needs of the Asian market.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Mechanical and Electrical upkeep of the facility
