Job summary

ACS Group designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. The Maintenance Technician role is based at Corporate Headquarters in New Berlin, WI, and focuses on upkeep of the facility and safety compliance.

You will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, respond to emergencies, read blueprints, and participate on the safety committee. The position requires 3–5 years of electrician duties and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of electrician duties experience.
• Electrical and mechanical experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Good communication and independent work skills.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and Electrical upkeep of the facility
• Respond and fix safety related maintenance questions
• Involved with Hazard Communication Program and Hazard Materials disposal
• Participate on the safety committee
• On call to respond to building emergencies
• Research and order parts
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, HVAC andplumbing issues
• Repair machinery
• Write preventative maintenance programs for machines
• Other duties as assigned

ACS Group is a privately held company that designs and manufactures comprehensive lines of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. ACS Group maintains an expansive product line, which includes size reduction equipment (granulators and shredders), material conveying equipment, metering and blending devices, heat exchangers (mold temperature control units and chillers), drying systems, and presses. These products are marketed under such recognizable brand names as AEC, Sterling, Cumberland, Wabash and Carver.

Manufacturing facilities are located in New Berlin, Wisconsin and Wabash, Indiana with a third facility located Suzhou,China to handle the needs of the Asian market.
