Maintenance Technician – Level 3 – 3rd Shift

Shift Details
- 3rd Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM
- Monday - Friday (Occasional weekends)
- Flexibility to work extra hours or adjust your schedule to meet production demands is required
Primary Duties
- Execute proactive, predictive, and emergency maintenance tasks on production machinery and conveyor systems
- Resolve electrical, mechanical, and control system failures to help maximize overall equipment effectiveness
- Identify and fix malfunctions involving camera and photo eye sensors linked to Allen Bradley PLC architecture
- Oversee the performance of VFDs and Servo drives, making necessary adjustments
- Utilize Allen Bradley PLC logic to pinpoint faults and perform minor program modifications to keep lines moving
- Analyze technical manuals, mechanical diagrams, and electrical schematics to facilitate repairs and new equipment setups
- Log all maintenance work and routine checks within the company CMMS platform
- Ensure every task performed adheres strictly to sanitation, food safety, and GMP protocols
- Minimize production delays and product waste by providing rapid response to equipment failures
- Partner with quality, engineering, and production staff to assist in ongoing operational improvements
- Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping your workspace orderly and compliant
- Support the team during equipment changeovers, upgrades, and new installations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, ideally within a GMP-regulated food or beverage setting
- Practical background working with automated canning lines and conveyor systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC systems
- Experience working with sensor-based camera and photo eye technology
- Background in diagnosing and repairing VFDs and Servo drives
- Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Proven capacity to handle tasks autonomously during night shifts
- Strong analytical skills to effectively resolve issues under the pressure of production downtime
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; trade school or technical certification is preferred
Physical Demands
- Capacity to lift weights up to 50 lbs
- Ability to remain on your feet, walk, kneel, bend, and climb for long durations
- Comfort working in a food manufacturing setting with varying noise levels and temperatures
- Ability to perform tasks in confined areas or at heights while utilizing required safety gear
Compensation
- Pay ranges from $32.00 to $34.50 per hour, commensurate with your professional background
