Job summary

General Mills in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment, providing technical support to optimize manufacturing operations. You will work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, with overtime as needed, and participate in continuous improvement while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Starting pay is $36.14–$39.14 per hour, with shift differential on 3rd shift and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required with maintenance training.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing with electrical focus.
  • CARO certification preferred; must obtain within 18 months if not held.
  • Understanding of PLCs and industrial electrical components.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems; diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues and repair equipment.
  • Manage work orders and parts via Maximo CMMS.
  • Provide technical support to plant leadership and participate in RCA.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
