Job summary

General Mills Geneva plant seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and reactive maintenance on dessert processing and packaging lines. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and support equipment improvements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Mechanical knowledge with PLCs, motors and gearboxes.
  • Experience reading schematics and using electrical testing equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.
  • Strong English communication in a team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
  • Own and manage maintenance tasks and equipment modifications.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues.
  • Provide technical support and lead root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and training.
