Job Description

I. Job Profile

• Job Title: Maintenance Technician
• Department: Coating Maintenance Department

II. Job Summary:

Timely repair of production equipment failures. Complete improvement projects to ensure equipment stability. Perform Preventative Maintenance as assigned.

III. Job Functions and Duties

1. Responsible for timely repairs of equipment failures and preventive maintenance.
2. Complete reactive work orders, projects, and continuous improvement tasks; report completion to supervisor.
3. Assist software engineers with on-site debugging, ensuring quality and efficiency.
4. Participate in continuous improvement programs.
5. Install and repair electrical and mechanical components.
6. Test and repair servo motors, reed switches, infra-red, photoelectric, and proximity switches.
7. Read electrical and mechanical drawings; understand ladder logic, Siemens systems, and H.M.I. systems.
8. Use multimeters; maintain safety certifications (LOTO, Arc Flash, Fall Protection, Confined Space).
9. Train production staff on equipment SOPs and TPM procedures.
10. Assist with new equipment installation and debugging.
11. Fabricate and weld equipment as needed.
12. Maintain knowledge of equipment mechanisms, inspections, and lubrication.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

IV. Qualifications

• Languages: English and Mandarin.
• Experience: 1-3 years manufacturing experience or equivalent education.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, pass strength tests.

Visual Acuity and Safety

• Adequate vision, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
• Moderate noise environment; safety gear required.

Other Requirements

• Mathematical skills, reasoning ability, basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, VFD, hydraulic, steam, compressed air systems, welding, conveyors.
• Certifications: OSHA 10, Arc Flash, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PIT license.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to extreme heat; moderate noise level; safety gear required.

Key Performance Indicators

• Repair fee, equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR, PM completion rate >95%.

Shift assignments: 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts.
