Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Food Manufacturing industry in Rice, MN on 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM). You will troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical systems, install and service Allen-Bradley VFDs, and perform preventive maintenance to support production safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with VFDs (PowerFlex 525 or equivalent), the ability to read schematics, and knowledge of lockout/tagout and industrial safety practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley VFDs.
• Understanding of three-phase power, motor controls, VFDs and PLCs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on production equipment.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs for conveyors and packaging equipment.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic; follow manuals.
• Support mechanical tasks on bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics.

Job description

Our client, Food Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintenance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Rice, MN

Pay Range: $25-$35/hour, based on experience

Shift: 2nd Shift (3 PM - 11 PM)

What's the Job?

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on production equipment, control panels, motors, sensors, and power distribution systems.

• Install, configure, program, parameterize, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley VFDs (PowerFlex series and similar); diagnose faults, replace drives, for conveyors, shredders/dicers, Fanuc Robot and Matrix VFFS packaging equipment.

• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and electromechanical systems.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PLC ladder logic, and technical manuals.

• Support mechanical maintenance tasks as needed (bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, pneumatics).

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and working with Allen-Bradley VFDs (PowerFlex 525 or equivalent).

• Solid understanding of three-phase power, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), sensors, and basic industrial controls.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and use multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools.

• Knowledge of lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and industrial safety practices.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade school preferred.
