Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a leading food manufacturing facility in Middlebury, IN. This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment with a strong mechanical and electrical background.

The schedule is Mon-Thurs, 5am-2pm, with some Fri hours. The position is direct-hire with benefits including insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, employee discounts, and free meals for employees.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, food production, packaging, or a similar industrial environment.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting production equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with packaging lines, combination weighers, seal machines, VFDs, sensor calibration, and coder feedback systems.
• Boilers, air compressors, and HVAC systems; Siemens equipment experience; food manufacturing environment.

This is a highly specialized maintenance role focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background within a manufacturing, food production, or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production and packaging equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues impacting production
• Support the operation and reliability of food processing equipment
• Assist with calibration, system adjustments, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime

The schedule is Mon-Thurs, 5am-2pm with some occasional Fri hours as well.

The pay range starts at $30/hr.

The candidate will be a direct-hire, permanent employee eligible for benefits including insurance, 401(k), paid vacation, employee discounts, and free employee meals.
