The Maintenance Technician supports both production equipment and building maintenance in a light manufacturing environment. This is a multi-craft, hands-on role that troubleshoots equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and helps keep the facility running safely and reliably, calling for practical mechanical ability and electrical troubleshooting experience and the ability to work independently.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following.Troubleshoot and repair production equipment (conveyors, packaging equipment, sensors, motors)Replace bearings, belts, chains, rollers, gearboxes, and drive componentsDiagnose electrical controls (photoeyes, proximity switches, relays, contactors)Repair pneumatic systems (air lines, cylinders, valves)Perform preventive maintenance inspections and lubricationMaintain building systems (lighting, docks, doors, plumbing fixtures)Assist with compressors, HVAC filter changes, and utilitiesRespond to equipment downtime and restore operation safelyDocument work performed and communicate equipment issuesRequired QualificationsTechnical school degree2-3 years of proven experience in facilities maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environmentBasic electrical troubleshooting ability (multimeter, 120–480V diagnostics)Ability to use hand and power toolsComfortable working around operating machineryAbility to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectivelyPreferred QualificationsStrong electrical experience, including working with schematics and PLC systemsMechanical knowledge with skills in welding and troubleshooting mechanical systemsFamiliarity with CMMS software for work order managementPneumatics repair experienceWelding or fabrication basicsForklift or lift equipment experiencePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of standingMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust have adequate vision, with or without glasses or lenses, to readMust have high manual dexterityMust be able to reach above shoulder level to workMust be able to bend, squat, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, twist, and turnTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
