Job summary

Mount Holly Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain building systems, perform repairs, and support a safe, comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role requires at least three years of general maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC), basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer or similar), and flexibility to work day/evening/weekend/holiday shifts. Full-time, with benefits.

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience required, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair work across painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and related systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems and applicable codes and regulations.
• Use Word, Excel, and web-based systems to document work orders and communicate updates.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests while prioritizing resident safety.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician

• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend system longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems, equipment, and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Utilize basic computer systems (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, or similar platforms) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and communicate updates.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures, facility policies, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications for Maintenance Technician

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience required, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of building equipment, building systems, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
