Job summary

Mount Holly Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our 180-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility safe and well-maintained. You will perform painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC tasks, troubleshoot equipment, document work orders, and support safety standards.

We offer full-time hours and competitive pay of $18.00–$21.00 per hour, with benefits including tuition reimbursement, health/vision/dental, 401(k) with match, and

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience required.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of building systems and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems and codes.
• Document work orders and maintenance activities in basic computer systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly with focus on safety and comfort.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and facility policies.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician:

• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend system longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems, equipment, and applicable building codes and regulations.
• Utilize basic computer systems (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, or similar platforms) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and communicate updates.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures, facility policies, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications for Maintenance Technician:

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience required, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of building equipment, building systems, and applicable building codes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
