Job summary

Wendover Management, LLC is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for Weston Park at Longwood Station, a 205-unit market-rate community in Longwood, FL. The role requires EPA Universal Certification, basic HVAC troubleshooting, and a strong focus on customer service and multi-tasking.

The position involves upkeep of grounds and buildings, unit make-readies, and collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager. On-site work with benefits and opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • EPA Universal Certification is required.
  • Light carpentry, drywall repair, and texture; painting experience helps.
  • Strong customer service and ability to multitask are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain grounds, amenities, exteriors, leasing office, common areas, parking areas, and maintenance spaces.
  • Prepare make-ready units and remove trash from vacants before turnover.
  • Troubleshoot/repair mechanical, carpentry, electrical issues including HVAC.
  • Assist Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and other tasks as assigned.
  • Keep the community and common areas clean and well-presented; maintain curb appeal.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to the Property Manager.

The position?

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for our community, Weston Park at Longwood Station our 205-unit market rate community located in Longwood, FL.

What are my responsibilities as a Wendover Maintenance Technician?
Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for the meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, common areas, parking lot/garage, and other community buildings
  • You will remove trash from office areas and community perimeter daily and from trash chutes to compactor daily or more
  • You will prepare the make-ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments prior to make-ready
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and/or perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner
  • Clean available apartments and or models
  • Troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems, including HVAC
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Property Manager
  • Meticulously maintain curb appeal of community
  • Assist office personnel with other various tasks required
  • Assist with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, etc.
  • Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shop
  • Report to the Property Manager

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience is preferred
  • EPA - Universal Certification, required
  • Light carpentry, drywall repair, and texture; painting
  • Computer literacy is a plus but not required
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Outstanding customer service and embracing a shared responsibility environment
What are the Working Conditions/Environment/Physical Demands of this position?
  • The Service Technician position is a full-time position; may be called upon to work after hours and on weekends. A rotating on-call schedule may be required
  • Working conditions will be outside as well as indoors
  • Physical demands will require but not be limited to the mobility to effectively complete job requirement
