Job summary

nLIGHT-DEFENSE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Longmont, CO to support facilities, labs, and production areas. The role requires 3+ years of facilities and equipment maintenance experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance.

Responsibilities include coordinating maintenance, ensuring safety, working with contractors, and conducting preventive maintenance across facilities, labs, and clean rooms. Onsite work with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of facilities and equipment maintenance experience.
  • HS Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and conduct building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensure safety standards are met in all tasks.
  • Work with service suppliers and contractors for onsite services.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, labs and clean rooms.
  • Keep equipment, including machine tools, forklift, HVAC, lighting in good working order.
  • Perform daily inspections to ensure proper operation.
  • Assist with setting up labs, cleanrooms and supporting equipment.
  • Check equipment regularly for normal operation and basic troubleshooting.

Location: Longmont, CO (Onsite)

Experience: 3+ years of experience in facilities and equipment maintenance and repair.

Minimum Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or Technical Certification is a plus.

Compensation Range: $30 - $35/hour depending on experience.

Summary

Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance for facilities, labs, production areas, and equipment.

All applicants must possess or be qualified to obtain a U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Preference will be given to candidates with an existing U.S. DoD Personnel Security Clearance. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct various building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and complies with all safety standards.
  • Work with service suppliers and contractors for onsite services.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activity for the Facility, Equipment, Labs and Clean Rooms.
  • Keep equipment, including machine tools, forklift, HVAC, lighting in good working conditions.
  • Perform daily routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper operations.
  • Assist with setting up company test and production laboratories, cleanrooms and supporting equipment.
  • Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity to include basic troubleshooting.
Required Experience / Capability

  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and maintain composure and good working relationships under pressure.
  • Basic facilities maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience with cleanroom setup, qualification, and continued maintenance programs.
  • Follow pre-established company policies and processes.
