Job summary

nLIGHT-DEFENSE Systems, Inc. in Longmont, CO seeks a Maintenance Technician to support facilities, labs, and production spaces. You will implement, troubleshoot and maintain systems under supervision of the Facilities Manager, with emphasis on safety and reliability in a DoD-related environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a maintenance role supporting facilities and equipment.
• Basic facilities maintenance in plumbing, electrical and mechanical areas.
• Experience with cleanroom setup, qualification, and ongoing maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ensure work is performed safely and compliant with standards.
• Work with service providers and contractors for onsite services.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facility, equipment, labs and cleanrooms.
• Keep tools and equipment, including HVAC and lighting, in good condition.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure proper operations.
• Assist in setting up company test and production labs and supporting equipment.
• Regularly check equipment to ensure normal operation and troubleshoot basics.

$30 - $35/hour depending on experience.

Summary

Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Technician provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance for facilities, labs, production areas, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct various building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and complies with all safety standards.
• Work with service suppliers and contractors for onsite services.
• Conduct preventative maintenance activity for the Facility, Equipment, Labs and Clean Rooms.
• Keep equipment, including machine tools, forklift, HVAC, lighting in good working conditions.
• Perform daily routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper operations.
• Assist with setting up company test and production laboratories, cleanrooms and supporting equipment.
• Check equipment regularly to ensure normal operating activity to include basic troubleshooting.

Required Experience / Capability

• Commitment to excellence. Attention to detail. Pride in workmanship.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and maintain composure and good working relationships under pressure.
• Effectively manage schedule and priorities with minimal daily direction to meet mid to long-term schedule objectives.
• 3+ years in a maintenance role directly supporting facilities and equipment maintenance and repair activities.
• Basic facilities maintenance skills in plumbing, electrical and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with cleanroom setup, qualification, and continued maintenance programs.
• Follow pre-established company policies and processes.
