Job summary

Ajulia Executive Search seeks a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am) in Liberty, SC. The role offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), plus paid PTO and direct hire potential.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or GED, 1 year of maintenance experience with die-casting equipment, and strong troubleshooting skills. English communication required, bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• 1 year maintenance experience with die-casting or similar equipment.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and drawings.
• Familiar with industrial manufacturing equipment and related machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance supervisor in maintaining and improving the department.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair die-casting and plant equipment promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules.
• Install and route EMT and rigid conduit up to 2 inches safely.
• Install, replace, and repair electrical components and motor controls.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and machine controllers to minimize downtime.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to finish projects safely and on time.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following safety policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining and improving the maintenance department, facility, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair die-casting and plant equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Install, bend, and route EMT and rigid conduit up to 2 inches, ensuring compliance with electrical standards.
• Install, replace, and repair electrical components, including motor controls, contactors, overloads, relays, and limit switches.
• Troubleshoot and support PLCs and other machine controllers to minimize equipment downtime.
• Complete maintenance work orders, inspection reports, and required documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure maintenance and facility projects are completed safely and on schedule.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following company safety policies and maintenance best practices.
• Stay current with new maintenance technologies, equipment, and industry practices to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Technical School or Vocational Training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience working with die-casting machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment, including furnaces, heaters, ladles, hoists, air compressors, sump pumps, exhaust fans, vacuum systems, welding equipment, and related machinery.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to complete maintenance documentation and reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to safety, quality, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement.
