Job summary

A property management company is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Las Vegas. This role involves assisting in unit preparation, handling maintenance requests, and performing preventative repairs. Candidates should have a general knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and pool maintenance. A strong service orientation and basic computer skills are important. The position requires 40 hours of work per week, with some evenings and weekends as needed. HVAC and CPO certifications are preferred.

• Experience as apartment turn technician or related role is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of building systems is critical.

Responsibilities

Scope Includes

• Assist in the completion of make ready units to Chamberlin standards and maintain an adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
• Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, plumbing problems, painting, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
• Perform daily pool care, ensure the pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
• Re-key locks and cut keys.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
• Keep up the physical property by ensuring it is free of weeds, rocks are raked, trash is removed, sidewalks are clear and periodically power washed, amenities or community areas are clean and in working order, etc.
• Share on-call duty with service team members and be readily available to go to the property if needed and in uniform.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of materials, parts, and supplies.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work in progress, etc.

Requirements

• General knowledge in plumbing, electrical, pool maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, landscape maintenance, appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• Knowledge of building systems.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable.
• HVAC and CPO certification preferred.
• Bilingual or English speaking.

Work Hours

• 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday during property business hours.
• Evenings and weekends may be required as circumstances warrant.
