Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the completion of make ready units.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct minor air conditioning and heating failures.
  • Address resident service and maintenance requests timely.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units.
  • Perform daily pool care and maintain proper chemical balance.
  • Inspect the property for safety hazards and correct them.
  • Keep up the physical property, ensuring it’s free of debris.

Job description

Maintenance Technician

Scope Includes, but is not limited to:
  • Assist in the completion of make ready units to Chamberlin standards and maintains adequate supply of make-ready units for the Community.
  • Trouble-shoot, diagnose and correct minor air conditioning and/or heating failures, appliance repairs, plumbing problems, painting, minor carpentry, and drywall repairs.
  • Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform necessary repairs and preventative maintenance on vacant units as they become available.
  • Perform daily pool care, assures pool is in proper chemical balance and area is free of safety concerns.
  • Re-key locks, and cut keys.
  • Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and corrects the hazard to inform the Manager of Facilities and Service of the hazard.
  • Keep up the physical property by ensuring its free of weeds, rocks are raked, trash is removed, sidewalks are clear and periodically power washed, amenities or community areas are clean and in working order etc.
  • Share on-call duty with service team members and is readily available to go the property if needed and in uniform.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory of materials, parts and supplies.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service request, expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work in progress, etc.
Requirements
  • General knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards
  • Knowledge of building systems
  • Service orientation.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience as apartment turn technician, make ready technician, or work order technician is highly desirable
  • HVAC and CPO certification preferred
  • Bilingual or English speaking
Work Hours
  • 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday during property business hours
  • Evenings and weekends may be required as circumstances warrant
Pay

All employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a standard background check, which reviews records for the past seven (7) years, in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
