Job summary

The Liberty Group in Lafayette, IN seeks experienced Apartment Maintenance Technicians to ensure timely maintenance and turn-overs for move-ins. You will perform make-ready repairs, service requests, and maintain common areas, delivering high-quality resident service on-site.

Applicants should have 6+ months of onsite apartment maintenance experience, reliable transportation, and basic tools. An EPA/CFC HVAC certification is a plus and may lead to higher pay.

• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and onsite teams

Pay ranges from $20 to $23 per hour, depending on experience.

• 6+ months onsite apartment maintenance experience
• Valid government-issued ID
• Reliable transportation
• Own basic tools needed for maintenance work
• Comfortable completing service requests and apartment turns (make-ready)

What you’ll do

• Complete resident service requests in a timely, professional manner
• Perform make-ready/turn repairs to prepare vacant apartments for move-in
• Maintain common areas and community grounds as needed
• Document work completed in maintenance logs
• Prioritize multiple work orders and work independently
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and onsite teams

Preferred (not required)

• A/C / HVAC certification (EPA/CFC/HVAC) — pays more
• Strong make-ready/turn experience
• Related experience (hotel maintenance, rehab, condo, carpentry) only if you also have onsite apartment experience
