Job summary

MyPath is seeking a Maintenance Tech II to keep the T.C. Harris School & Academy campus, group homes, and academy facilities safe, functional, and well maintained.

You will perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repairs, run preventative maintenance, and respond quickly to emergencies on an on-call rotation.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, a building-trade license, 2+ years of experience, and ability to use a work order system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• License or certification in a building trade.
• At least 2 years of maintenance or building trade experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Experience using a computer-based work order system.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.
• Complete preventative maintenance and routine facility inspections.
• Maintain buildings, grounds, equipment, and facility systems.
• Respond quickly to emergency maintenance needs.
• Use a computer-based work order system to document and track work.
• Follow agency safety, confidentiality, vehicle, and maintenance procedures.
• Participate in required training and maintain current licenses or certifications.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency service needs during assigned on-call times.
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and other internal and external contacts.
