Schafer Industries in Blacklick, OH, seeks a Maintenance Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, following safety and predictive maintenance processes. You’ll contribute to safer, more productive operations on a 5x8 day shift.

Formación

• HS Diploma/Equivalent with 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with PLC experience and HVAC.
• Must be able to walk, stand, lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Good English communication and documentation skills.

Responsabilidades

Overview/Qualifications/Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Shift:

The Blacklick, Ohio facility operates production on a 4x10 schedule with two shifts. The Maintenance Technician role is assigned to a 5x8 schedule on day shift.

What you bring to the table:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Coordinate with production supervisor on the planning and implementation of large facility projects.
• Strict adherence to all OSHA Standards, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Confined Entry Space, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities(basic requirements):

• HS Diploma/Equivalent and 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC. Certification from technical school, preferred.
• Requires physical ability and stamina to perform the essential functions of the position, including theability to walk, stand, lift, carry up to 40 pounds, push, kneel, bend, stoop, reach over and under waist level, twist for extended periods of time on cement or other hard surfaces, etc.
• Demonstrates the verbal and written communication and computer skills, in English, necessary to complete documentation of processes.
• Ability to work independently to learn the processes, execute the daily work and explore root cause and solutions for issues as they arise.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.

Travel is primarily local during the business day.
