Job summary

Pretium Packaging, LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing equipment running smoothly and maximize production efficiency. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in plastics or related manufacturing environments, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years as a maintenance technician in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain records of work performed, parts used and costs.
• Collaborate with production to schedule PMs and improvements.
• Perform mold changes and PM work on molds as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and safety adherence.

Maintenance Technician

We are hiring for a Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. This is a crucial role in our organization, as you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and carrying out repairs to keep our production processes running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to identify and address any potential issues or concerns.
• Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform repairs on machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and costs incurred.
• Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Perform mold changes as needed.
• Perform PM work on molds.
• Perform machining, milling, and metal fabrication.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably within the plastics industry.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficient in conducting diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
• Experience with plastics blow molding operations (injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding, etc.) is a plus.
