Qualifications

• Five+ years in industrial maintenance or closely related equipment repair.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience repairing production machinery.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience with meters and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment, material handling equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for safe, lasting repairs.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, manuals, and instructions.
• Weld, machine, fabricate work and assist with equipment installation, movement, alignment, and rigging.
• Maintain facility systems including compressed air, ventilation, lighting, and related equipment.
• Document inspections, maintenance, repairs, parts used, and follow-up work accurately.
• Maintain tools and spare parts; coordinate outside service when needed.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and verify safety devices before returning equipment to service.

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping production equipment, material handling equipment, and facility systems operating safely and reliably. This role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots breakdowns, completes repairs, and supports equipment installation and improvement projects. The successful candidate is practical, safety focused, organized, and able to work independently while communicating clearly with production leaders and equipment operators.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections on production equipment, material handling equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems with a focus on safe and lasting corrections.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as presses, press brakes, plasma cutting machines, saws, compressors, and related machinery.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
• Perform welding, machining, and fabrication work and assist with equipment installation, movement, alignment, assembly, and rigging.
• Maintain facility systems including compressed air, ventilation and ductwork, lighting, and other building equipment within the employee's training and authorization.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, communicate operating impacts, determine root causes, and recommend improvements that reduce downtime.
• Follow lockout and tagout requirements and verify guards, emergency stops, and other safety devices before returning equipment to service.
• Document inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, parts used, and follow up work accurately and on time.
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and supplies and coordinate outside service or technical support when needed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform other related duties as business needs require.

What Success Looks Like

• Preventive maintenance and required inspections are completed on schedule and documented accurately.
• Equipment breakdowns are diagnosed quickly, repairs are completed safely, and production downtime is minimized.
• Repairs address root causes, equipment is returned to service safely, and operating teams receive clear status updates.
• Tools, parts, maintenance records, and work areas remain organized and ready to support the operation.
• The technician identifies practical improvements that increase reliability, safety, and operating efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of industrial maintenance or closely related equipment repair experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience repairing production machinery.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience, including safe use of meters and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication, with the ability to complete basic machining tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical power transmission systems and the safe use of maintenance tools and lifts.
• Ability to manage priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively with employees and service providers.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or an industrial maintenance certification is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

$30.00+ per hour. Benefits include 401(k), health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and paid time off.

Schedule and Work Environment

This is a full time, in person position working a day shift Monday through Friday, with overtime and weekend work as needed. The role works in warehouse, yard, and manufacturing environments and requires regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting associated with industrial maintenance. Personal protective equipment and compliance with all safety procedures are required.
