Job description

Job Opening: Maintenance Technician

Ecolab, a global leader in developing premium cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance products and services for hospital, institutional, and industrial markets, is seeking a Maintenance Technician. This role involves diagnosing and repairing facilities and production equipment in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to ensure safe repairs and proper equipment condition for operations
2. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety checks
3. Make repairs and modifications to equipment and facilities as per work orders
4. Complete all paperwork accurately and coordinate with the Reliability Supervisor for data recording

Location and Schedule:

Plant located in Joliet, IL

Training: 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday, for the first 90 days

Post-training: Night shift, 6pm to 6am, rotating schedule

Compensation:

$38-$41 per hour, based on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 2 years in industrial maintenance
• 1 year experience with electrical and mechanical systems
• 1 year experience with PLC applications
• No immigration sponsorship available

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform physical tasks, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces, heat, and high places

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational training or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or boiler operations
• Experience with pumps, welding, bearings, electrical safety, forklifts, hydraulics, valves, and rigging

The pay rate ranges from $38.00 to $41.00 per hour, influenced by experience, education, and location.
